As human-beings, we seemed to have been designed to discriminate. In fact, often, our very survival depends on it. It is arguable that long before we became a fetus in our mothers' wombs, nature discriminated against all the sperm cells that did not get to fertilize the egg cell that eventually became a zygote (fertilized egg) and eventually an embryo, then a fetus, and then an infant, toddler, child, young adult, and eventually a full-fledged adult. Many did not make it to adulthood, and it's arguable that unless you believe in a higher power that nature also discriminated against them.

We have all heard of "STRANGER-DANGER" before as children. Our parents taught us the latter because they knew that we lacked the discernment to know who to stay away from as children - such as pedophiles, and kidnappers who know how to lure innocent children because they know of their propensities. In fact, even our very immune system (defense system against invasion by bad gets) was designed to distinguish between FOREIGN germs/particles and local/innate ones. And until today some of our immune cells (White Blood Cells) are generalists in nature and are rather primitive in acting to attack anything that is foreign. Yet, others can become specialists (e.g., Our B and T Cells) creative a form of adaptive immunity, which is able to adapt to new infections as to build memory to DISCRIMINATE against future invasions by pathogens/germs that were previously new to the human body! Thus, every fiber of our beings was designed to discriminate. And every CONFLICT (e.g., societal, personal, national, or international) faced by humanity is because of a difference in ideology or customs or phenotype/appearance, and essentially our propensity to DISCRIMINATE. Yet, like our B-Cells and T-Cells, we must be able to ADAPT by building memories about people in order not to GENERALIZE ALL PEOPLE. A modern, learned, exposed, wise and culturally aware human-being must rise above the EMOTIONS that emanate from our primitive STRANGER-DANGER INDUCED FEARS. This is the source of the disease called RACISM that many people face, especially WHITE PEOPLE. It is a form of EXTREME INTOLERANCE based on EXTREME FEAR and like allergies (i.e., hypersensitivity reactions), the behaviors that emanate from racism are often extreme, outrageous and undoubtedly unnecessary.

Personally, I get along with human-beings of all walks of life. While I am not oblivious of racism and the many different psychological faux pas that plague humanity at large, I do my utmost to maintain A PURE HEART & RIGHT SPIRIT. I am as genuine and honest as one can be (even to a fault at times). However, I believe that people can sense it! For instance, I have an equal number of Caucasian, Black, Asian and Other friends in the US and around the World. In fact, some of my closest friends, benefactors, and lovers until today have been White. Thus, personally, the only racism that has affected me has been either institutional or systemic racism (which I often don't feel until it is actually affecting others that look like me). Yet, in America, not too long ago, RACISM was once the law of this land. Think about it. People were required to be RACIST against Blacks and other non-Whites. Unimaginable huh? Even the restrooms abs water fountains had to be separated! I recall reading about a Chinese men and Black men who had become prosperous in spite of racism, however, due to the law of the land their real properties (i.e., lands, and anything attached to their lands) were taken away from them because ONLY WHITE MEN were allowed to own real properties at that time. Clearly, such laws were UNJUST and are the types of law that MUST be broken as cleverly accentuated by Dr. MLK Jr.
Every segment of the Human Race has its own talents, strengths and weaknesses. The key is not to expose our weaknesses but rather to learn from each other's strengths! It is not to fear each other, but to use our strengths to serve one another. Jesus and Mohammed were right about being each other's keeper. Today, we still do it in our quest of building businesses. The ultimate goal is to provide a SERVICE and get paid for it. However, the latter forces us to SERVE our brothers and sisters even if it is for our own pecuniary gain. But when we do it well, people patronize us more and we get rewarded with "good will" and even fame. The latter add up to being our fellow human-brings' keeper. However, modernly, we are somewhat failing. At the very least, we can do A LOT BETTER. Nearly every WAR, DIVORCE, MURDER, FIGHT, RACIST & MYSOGYNISTIC ACT is a manifestation of our inability to rise above our primitive tendencies to understand, tolerate and appreciate each other's issues. As modern humans, we must do better by ourselves and fellow human beings. We have become so intertwined modernly despite the fact that natural disasters of the past previously divided us. We know too much about each other's histories and propensities not to do better. We must remember that what makes us the same are far more important. Yet, we must acknowledge our differences in order to manage our expectations and live harmoniously!

Should we fail to do so, we will eventually SELF-DESTRUCT. However, I am optimistic that because we have far more decent people in all segments of the human-race than "bad apples", if each one chooses to teach one, God/Nature will somehow continue to smile on humanity at large. Let us all practice decency, harmony, understanding and tolerance one human-being at a time without giving preferential treatment to any particular race. Let it just be a meritocracy.
Essentially, let's take advantage of each other's strengths instead of accentuating the most negative aspects (i.e., stereotypes) of each race. Shall we? We know that they exist and many of us even know why. Let's not be childish or childlike. LET US ALL LIVE HARMONIOUSLY despite our differences.
I DEDICATE this this article to the following people:
The Late Great Reed Sawyer - My White Brother from Another Mother. Reed came to me decades ago for a job interview, while he did not get the job, he asked me to let him shadow me to learn from me. As a White man who was way over a decade older than I was in a racist society, the latter displayed profound humility. I did allow him to "shadow" me and he not only became a business partner, but one of the most loving and supporting souls I have ever met. We learned so much from each other. Until today, many of the things I use like "What's in It for Me" or "Hard-to-Create-but-Easy-to-Recreate" are directly from my late buddy. The World feels quite empty at times without him. We were able to tackle just about any topic; Reed and I were able to solve the most complex problems that take most years to solve in a matter of minutes at times. He had a stroke while working at his desk. WOW. Reed, I miss you and love you immensely. :'-( ~ RIP, BUD!
The Late Unforgettable Attorney Bruce Plesser - Prior to meeting Bruce, I was always a tangential legal professional. You see, while my father and I had a history of helping people with the preparation of thousands of legal documents (as really natural lawyers), we both did not particularly like lawyers. In fact, as a kid, my father had forbidden me to become a lawyer. You know, they were viewed as hustlers and "a dime a dozen" types of professionals. Well, that was until I met Bruce Plesser. He was not only a great legal mind, but he was kind, philosophical and fun to talk to. Our relationship spanned nearly two decades and despite our political differences, we were very close, so close that I knew exactly when Bruce had passed away - and that was the first time that he had not returned my call immediately. Bruce and I learned so much about law practice together. He taught me the meeting of preventing BAR COMPLAINTS and his initial phrases were always: "ARE WE IN TROUBLE YET?" and "IT'S ALL B.S. UNTIL IT'S NOT". He loved his daughter and only child who happens to be a lawyer too. The Law is a tough profession. I have watched many of my lawyer friends lose or ruin their lives because of the STRESS linked to the field. I still can't believe that you were hit by a car as you were leaving your favorite GULFPORT BAR, namely, THE NEPTUNE GRILL. ~ Bruce, I miss you and love you! Thanks for the wonderful years and for sharing your beautiful mind with me.
ASR - she probably would have rather remained anonymous. Thus, I'll simply use her by her ACRONYM. Aside from my late parents, no one touched my life more than ASR has. ASR, "I have looked over my should," and undoubtedly, "you've been there, always", especially after my mother's death. Thanks, my dearest ASR, as one of our favorite songs goes: "you're more than a lover, there will never be another, who make me feel the way you do... you're MY BEST FRIEND!" Arlene, I love you with all my heart.
ALL MY PAST & CURRENT LOVERS - I have learned so much about life, myself, and others through loving and being loved. I hold zero grudges and love every single one of you still.
ALL MY BESTIES, CHILDREN & ELDERS - Especially, Patrick Pierre, Brunel Pierre, Aldyn Brutus, Aunt Marie, Madam Paulina Laurince, Uncle Toto etc., who seemingly held my hands and served as surrogate parents after I left my parents at 13 years of age. They all had been amazing gap fillers, and I wouldn't have been who I am today without my besties, children and elders. And regarding my current and future children, NO WORDS... I love you all more than I love life itself.
LASTLY, MY "FACEBOOK FRIENDS" - well, you all have seen the best and worst of me because I get to "VENT" when Facebook has asked: "What's on Your Mind?" I know that I challenge you all and even purposely get on your last nerves at times. But I do it for a reason. It's called DESENSITIZATION. Many of you have become amazing friends and some of you I respect a lot... My cognitive elite brother, Dino Scarros; Zen Walton; Jody; Maria Simmons; Selika; Rick Manning; KA Clark; Darryl Forbes; Filton Joseph; Chris Barnes; Leonfils; Roddy Simmons; Derus; Debby Russ; Jimmy Allen Davis etc. I have been able to use Facebook as a Guinea pig over the years. Thus, in many ways, you all have been part of my maturation as a content creator. Sending you all, Love & Peace!
