Lately, you might have heard of a number of high-profile murders committed by men against women and more often than not those women include their wives, daughters and other innocent women including professionals who are doing their jobs. Recently, the 38-year-old Coral Spring Vice Mayor, Nancy Metayer Bowen was shot and killed by her 40-year-old husband Stephen Bowen who is not in custody. Moreover, recently, Tammy McCollum, a 58-year-old pastor at The Well Worship Center in Statesville, North Carolina, was shot and killed in her Charlotte home by her 61-year-old husband Eddie McCullom who is not also in police custody. And as of a couple of days ago or so, an unnamed Fort Myers, FL Indian female store clerk was ruthlessly killed with a hammer by an Illegal immigrant who was furious over a disagreement that they had on a previous day. And last but not least, a 63-year-old Florida man was arrested after using an electrical cord to punish her daughter over her unwillingness to attend church, resulting in the daughter's death. Needless to say, the pattern is quite alarming.
First of all - there is NO JUSTIFICATION for ANY DOMESTIC VIOLENCE by any man - particularly when the end result is MURDER.
However, there are a number of questions that have been brought to our attention.
1. Is feminism partly the culprit?
2. Does violence on the part of such men part of an EMASCULATION resulting from a lack of control over the modern woman experienced by such modern men or from frustration or even envy, jealousy and helplessness in a World in which many women have declared their financial independence (especially with some earning more than many men do)?
3. Is male mental health overlooked because men are expected to be strong no matter what the levels of mental trauma that they had to overcome are?
4. Are far too many men devaluing far too many women or are they reacting to the emasculation that they feel from female independence and success?
5. Are far too many men feeling unneeded, disposable, sidelined or even unprioritized by the independence or autonomy exhumed by far too many modern women who refuse to be controlled by their men like their mother and grandmothers did?
As of today, I have heard of so many more cases involving murders of wives or fiancées or girlfriends and other random women by husbands, fiancés, boyfriends and random men including the former Lieutenant Governor of Virginia, Justin Fairfax, who killed his wife today or yesterday. It's getting more and more alarming as I type this.
On this show, a few guests of both genders, who are interested in this very alarming topic for one reason or another, DISCUSSED & DEBATED about ways of PREVENTING or tapping into FUTURE PREVENTATIVE MEASURES to prevent the senseless DEATH of yet another woman in the hands of a ruthless or mentally deranged man.
